Sofeat integrates artificial intelligence into certain services and internal workflows. This policy explains how we use AI, how we handle AI-generated content, and what that means for you as a client or visitor.
01AI-Assisted Services
- We use AI tools (such as large language models) to accelerate development tasks including code generation, documentation drafting, and initial scaffolding.
- All AI-generated outputs are reviewed, tested, and validated by a senior engineer before being delivered to clients.
- We clearly disclose to clients when AI tools have been significantly used in the production of a deliverable.
- AI assistance does not reduce the standard of quality or accountability — all deliverables are warranted under our standard Terms of Service.
02What We Do Not Use AI For
- We do not use AI to make autonomous decisions about client engagements, pricing, or contract terms.
- We do not use AI to generate final production code without human review.
- We do not feed client confidential data (source code, credentials, business plans) into third-party AI training systems.
- We do not use AI to impersonate humans in client communications — all emails and messages are authored or reviewed by a real person.
03Your Data and AI Training
Sofeat does not use any personal data or client data to train AI models. Where we use third-party AI APIs (such as OpenAI or Anthropic), we configure them with data privacy settings that prevent your data from being used for model training.
04AI Tools We Use
- GitHub Copilot — AI code completion for accelerated development (code is reviewed before use).
- OpenAI / Claude APIs — used in AI-feature development for client products, per the client's specification and agreement.
- AI-powered testing and code analysis tools — used internally to improve code quality.
- Third-party AI tool usage is governed by those tools' own privacy and data policies, which we review before adoption.
05AI in Client Products
- When we build AI-powered features into your product, we will document the AI systems used, their data flows, and any relevant limitations.
- You are responsible for ensuring AI features comply with applicable laws (including the EU AI Act where relevant) in your jurisdiction.
- We will advise on AI compliance obligations where possible, but specialist legal advice should be sought for regulated sectors.
06Accuracy and Limitations
AI-generated content and code can contain errors, biases, or outdated information. All AI outputs we use are reviewed and tested before delivery. We do not warrant the accuracy of any AI-generated content that you independently generate using tools or APIs we build for you — that responsibility lies with the end-user of the AI feature.
07Intellectual Property
- IP ownership of deliverables that include AI-assisted components follows our standard Terms of Service — upon full payment, rights are assigned to you.
- We ensure we have the right to use AI-generated content commercially before incorporating it into deliverables.
- If you request an AI-free engagement (no generative AI used in your project), you may specify this in the Statement of Work.
08Transparency and Updates
We are committed to being transparent about our AI usage as the technology and regulatory landscape evolves. This policy will be updated as we adopt new AI tools or change how we use existing ones. Material changes will be communicated to active clients.
